Introduction and Purpose of Indian Society of Forensic Sciences (ISFS)

The ISFS is a network comprising institutions and professionals in the field of forensic sciences and allied disciplines, operating not for profit purposes in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Income Tax Act of India, specifically Sections 12A and 80G, as applicable.

The funds and assets shall be used solely for statutory purposes. Members of the society are not entitled to benefit from these funds, except when providing agreed-upon paid services to the society, which must be approved by the Board and properly documented.

The purpose of the ISFS is the promotion of Science and Research, Quality and Competence, Education and Training, National Cooperation, Development and Ethical practices in the field of forensic science within India.

The aim of the ISFS is to ensure that the quality of development and delivery of forensic science throughout India is at the forefront, adhering to standard practices.
